Nature-Based Christian School

Inspire Wonder in Learning

We are considering launching a nature-based Christian school engaging students to equip them with great character, a curious intellect and practiced application.

Let us know what you think.

Our Experience

Guided-play, exploration and hands-on experience enable students to learn throughout all 60 acres of our private regenerative farm. Students will enjoy time in forest, grassland, prairie and alongside Iowa’s Wapsipinicon river. Each week, students will have instruction in group and one-on-one setting covering subjects including math, English, reading, art, music, Spanish and science. We encourage our teachers to do lessons throughout the day on the farm, mostly outdoors, but utilize indoor space when it best suits the activity or instruction.

  1. Adventure and nature based experience on 60 acre private regenerative farm
  2. Hands-on exploration of interests
  3. Lessons and learning throughout daily experiences

We prepare students for a lifetime of curiosity and learning by fostering wonder and encouraging individual strengths.

What we stand for

At our school students will learn about Jesus Christ and life’s greatest purpose being an adventure for Him. Through the lens of biblical truth, students will learn to engage with others to reason through challenges, often working together. Students navigate a variety of situations individually and as a group. Our teachers encourage students to self-solve, providing encouragement, and prompting students with questions to frequently self-evaluate results alongside their peers. Through adventure and experience, our students adapt to many situations, develop curiosity and effective problem solving skills in relationships and life.

Students learn interpersonal skills and focus on the development of quality character.

This prepares students to be good learners, citizens, family members and people.

Understanding and reasoning is regularly applied to our experiences, inspiring students to better comprehend how creation and key subjects work.

This prepares students for deeper reason, self-solving problems and equips them to identify and calculate what is happening around them.

Producing Value

Each student will practice identifying what is valuable in situations and finding ways to deliver it.

This prepares them for their future in producing an income, volunteering, and caring for others in the most meaningful way.

“For the sole true end of education is simply this: to teach men how to learn for themselves; and whatever instruction fails to do this is effort spent in vain. “ – Dorothy Sayers

Our instructors develop caring relationships with each student to ensure support is provided to each individual that is focused on their interests and strengths. We encourage our instructors to support kids in age-appropriate risk taking.

Through adventure and experience, our students learn critical lessons to establish a strong character, spend time developing good reasoning and how to identify what is valuable and accomplish it. As a result, children learn how to learn, enabling adaptability and a foundation for reapplication throughout life.
